Can I use Grammarly or spell check?
Absolutely! Writing tools that help you polish your work are fine. We certify that YOU create the content — using a spell checker does not change that. We only look for AI that generates content for you.
What if I use AI for research?
Using AI as a research tool (like you might use Google) is allowed. The key is that you write the actual content yourself. If AI summarizes research that you then completely rewrite in your own words, that is fine.
How is this different from free badges?
Free badges like “Not By AI” rely on the honor system — anyone can claim one. We actually verify your creation process before certifying. Your badge links to a live verification page proving it is real and current.
How long does it take?
Most applications are reviewed in 3-5 business days. Once approved, your badge goes live immediately and you can start displaying it on your website and marketing materials.
What types of content can be certified?
Written content, visual art, photography, audio, video, and code. One certification covers all the content types you create within your business — you do not need separate certifications for each.
What happens if I do not renew?
Your badge status changes to “Inactive” (shown in gray). There is no penalty — it just means your certification expired. You can renew anytime to reactivate it.
